The 20th anniversary tournament of Goðinn chess club ended yesterday in Skjólbrekka in the Mývatn region, with a narrow victory for IM Björn Þorfinnsson. English grandmaster Simon Williams ended second behind Björn with 5 wins out of a possible 6, like Björn. Björn’s brother GM Bragi Þorfinnsson came in 3rd place with 4.5 wins and Dagur Ragnarsson was also fourth with 4 wins.
