The tournament will be held in Skjólbrekka’s social center in Mývatnsveit 13-16 March 2025
Goðinn Chess Club was founded on March 15, 2005 and will therefore be 20 years old in March of the year 2025. On this occasion, an open anniversary tournament will be held and it will take place on March 13-16 at Skjólbrekka in Lake Mývatn area.
Twelve passionate chess players founded the club and it has grown and prospered as one of the largest chess clubs in Iceland outside the capital area. Today, there are 94 members in it, making it the 11 largest chess clubs in Iceland.
