There is now 7 weeks until the 20th anniversary tournament takes place in Skjólbrekka in the Mývatn region and registration has started well. There are already four grandmasters registered. Hannes Hlífar Stefánsson, Bragi Þorfinnsson and Þröstur Þórhallsson from Iceland and the English grandmaster Simon Williams.
In addition to them, there are 4 international masters and one Fide master registered. A total of 18 players are currently registered and it is expected that the number of registered players will increase considerably in the coming weeks.
Important info for players.
The round times have been slightly adjusted so that games will take place at 10:00 and 16:00 on Friday and Saturday. See the tournament schedule here. You can find out more here.
